When do we lead or follow?

As an Athletic Director, I am often thrust into a role to lead, yet as a Christian, I am a devout follower. The benefits to lead and follow offer life lessons that ascend to a peaceful balance.

For over 30 years, I have led companies with an entrepreneurial spirit, coached championship teams, and direct a NCAA Division I athletic department. Each journey offers incredible experiences and challenges, yet without following the wisdom of mentors and faith, my leadership would not have sound direction or a moral compass. It is easy to be derailed, lost, and isolated by the plethora of daily distractions shot at leaders, but a firm foundation from those that surround us keeps the direction consistent. My hope is this page is a small piece of your peace as a leader and follower.
